Welcome to the Tulsa Poster Project Archival Website.
My Name is David Dean and I have been collecting Concert Posters since
the early 1980s. Posters have become a passion for me. I live in Tulsa
Oklahoma, and have developed a special affinity for Posters and
Handbills / Flyers from Tulsa and the surrounding areas. Tulsa's rich
musical heritage is reflected in the material produced to promote the
concerts by the many diverse acts that have played here over the years.
As there is currently no effort to archive these Posters and Handbills,
this is my attempt.

The posters in the 'More Posters' section are images I have picked up online and / or from reprints, that I will refer to as 'secondary sources' because they are of posters I don't physically possess and haven't photographed from the actual posters (or primary source). I may have downloaded the images from online auctions, websites, blogs, etc. Some have been emailed to me by other collectors and I have photographed a few as they hang on walls at various locations around. Because I don't have the exact poster for reference, accompanying information will be limited. In most cases just the act and year will be available. Also, on reprints the information may not be accurate - it can be different or some info may be incomplete, deleted, etc.PLEASE if you have any of these posters and wish to sell them CONTACT ME , or if you have any not shown, let me know so they can be included. I know it's an impossible dream, but I would like for this site to be as complete as possible. As always, I welcome any suggestions. |
